Gerda Munchen is the owner of a small shop given by her parents, she has been saving all her money up till 1923 for her daughters university. When the treaty of Versailles was signed the bank informed her that all she had saved for her daughter was worthless. If I were Gerda, I would have voted for the social democratic party because she would get supported for six months and the money she gets from the government she can save it up so her daughter might have a chance to enter a university . Also the SDP said they would build roads to create jobs so that Gredas daughter could work to contribute towards there upkeep. The Nazi party also sounds reasonable because it says that they will not sign the treaty of Versailles, because that was the main reason of Germany hyperinflation .

Anger and Humiliation
My first comment in anger and humiliation is when the author Eric Maria Remarque gives his point of view on th war showing that if they did not do accept the war they would have never received any consequence. "Had we returned home in 1916, out of the strength of our experiences we might have unleashed a storm. Now if we go back we will be weary, broken, burnt out, rootless, and without hope." "Remarque and other German soldiers did. some were burned Others returned home angry ad bitter" my question for this is that did anyone go home happy because if i was apart of them and i did not die and had a family i would be very happy but somehow in raged because of the treaty. When they began to talk about Hitler on page 123 Hitler seemed like a patriot towards his country but at page 126 he is a racist person because he says "Those God damned Jews, they are at the root of all our troubles."By my past study of Hitler I remember that the art school he got rejected from he claimed that they were all Jewish and said because he could not draw human figures he will be no hope
What I think is unfair is number 4 " German blood as a requirement for German citizenship. No Jew can be a member of the nation" I think it is unfair because if someone has been living there whole life in Germany and just because of there race they cannot be a citizen that is unfair also number 7 The state insures that every citizen live decently and earn his livelihood. If it is possible to provide food for Germans why is it impossible to provide food for the the aliens, must because your a foreigner in Germany does not mean you cant eat because there is no livelihood of food.
I would have done the same thing because when they threaten to take someone life because he is Jewish and you are also you should not have the courage yet because it is a train and no one will be on your side yet. I have experienced many stereotypes because of my race, but pretty soon ween u make friends they will be the ones running away.

You should never be silent all great nobels were not silent, because they believed something was was wrong and has to be changed. For example Martin Luther King he was not silent when there was segregation between whites and blacks, he fought for the same right as white's. He faced punishment of going to jail numerous times, and got shot because of that but got what he thrived for in making life for colored people good. This shows that you should never be quiet, and if something is wrong speak up and face any punishments that might happen.

A GOOD LIFE
A good life is knowing someone is always by your side to help you. The someone might be family,
friends or even strangers. Someone who stands by your side during your tough times, and helps
you get over problems.He/She is not only a good person but also wants you to be happy and
have a good life. For example you could be the poorest man or woman in the world, but you have a
good friend that could make you laugh. Knowing that your not alone in this world, you can
achieve a good life by appreciating the people around you.
Birds of a feather flock together.

This passage shows in the book the journey White and Wisty are going to take, so that the wont die. Also it shows how they were going to get captured, will never see there parents Ben and Eliza again.
